“Marginal” ©️ C.P. Hickey 2019

“At The Margins”

Life unfolds messy at the margins.

Words trail off the page,

And intended meaning gets lost.

Good guys wear saccharine grins,

And when no one is looking,

spit on those that need help.

There’s a lot that goes unnoticed.

Inconvenient truths avoided.

Especially, when they conflict with creature comfort.

You think the margins would be at a safe distance.

Apparently, they are not.
