what the current world requires,
is that you debase yourself,
for the failings of others.
it matters not,
that you never asked,
to be born into this place and time.
but, here we are,
debasement after debasement.
and nothing changes.
your rage remains,
and seeks out other targets.
until the mob decides it’s time to go home.
and nothing changes.
just sharpened pencils with no paper to express themselves.
dampness hangs on skin,
like burning magnesium,
intensely white.
