Wary Days Unfold Tonight

storm
Francis Danby, ‘The Deluge’
Wary days unfold tonight,
Discouraged by my current plight.
Self-doubt, my only friend concurs,
That hope just drowns in shallow shores.
Once full of promise and potential,
Now slave to all that’s existential.
Past one’s prime, there’s no respite.
Wary days unfold tonight.

  1. I really like this. It cost to me especially with all of the thoughts and writing I have right now. I’m weary all the ideas and thoughts I want to get out. I don’t want to waste what is been given to me and there’s a lot going on. I’m wary of opening up and being vulnerable in case it’s mistaken or just misunderstood. Anyway, your words in this post really spoke to me.
