Poems · Poemvember-November 2017

Poem 17 of the ProCrasstheNation Poemvember Poetry Project aligned nicely with my love of looking upward. Thank you Lisa S.K. for helping me to get everything in line.

Line ‘em up.

Get it straight.

Celestial night,

to navigate.

Stars above.

Moonlit sky.

Waves rolling,

heartbeat drives.

Heavens speak,

to those that look.

At apogee,

the moon’s forsook.

Sun and moon,

come into view,

eclipsing sight,

blinding too.

Grounded on this terra firma,

looking up into the sky,

gravity tends to reaffirm ya,

despite not having, a full bird’s eye.

Astronomical terms, delight me.

Astrological bodies, reflect light.

The Universe is expanding.

Van Gogh gave us “The Starry Night”.

Look, at all around us.

Marvel at the view.

A syzygy omnibus,

a vision through and through.
