“Whisked Away” © C.P. Hickey 2018

I don’t know why I get up,

with all these troubling hiccups.

The dogs need pee relief,

the shower has no heat.

There’s traffic in the melt.

One dog poohed inside, as well.

I locked my husband out,

while he did the trash.

My baby boy,

has diaper rash.

I swear to God,

I’m going to scream,

if I collect,

one more defeat.

While carrying the babe’s car seat,

lost balance, fell off my feet.

Into a dirty snow bank,

it’s no wonder I’m a raging crank.

A week old crock pot,

caked on lip snot.

Spilled milk.

I’ve lost my will.
