“Longwood Lilacs”

“Longwood Lilacs”

Longwood Lilacs,

Leading me down.

A pungent and cloying,

Branches bouquet.

I rely on this bloom,

Every spring.

One can mark a season,

After its arrival.

If I linger too long,

I get a headache.
