Spinning up toward the top.
Fire swirls in and about.
It wants to be seen,
So that others will join the cause.
Combustible chlorophyll climbing branch after branch,
A melting metamorphosis defying gravity.
Reaching out to the setting sun,
Looking to light descending darkness.
But never wins.
Chased away by a colossal elliptical orbit.
Stardust contains all the fuel needed to keep the fires burning,
Until such time that they don’t.
The fabric of reality rests on the perception of a fine line.
This perception shifts-shifts.
Ambiguous pluralities abound the spheres.
No quarter for rest-rest.
Anxieties infect a normative mind.
Daydream dreams exist-exist.
Until the senses fail in time.
Doubts sustained persist-persist.
History repeats itself.
A narrative of defeats-defeats.
An ego driven wandering.
Weary soldiers pondering.
A dearth of hope prolonging,
