“Avuncular Tinty”

I traveled the line,

from end to end.

Doors hydraulic,

composites of friends.

I didn’t acknowledge,

your presence that night.

A terrible hurry,

caught me in flight.

No time for a greeting,

a how do you do?

A moment I squandered,

no chance to redo.

I think on that moment,

how selfish of me.

No getting back,

a moment so sweet.

Jingles in pockets,

breath fresh and minty.

Your presence now missed,

avuncular tinty.
